Who can book a performer?
Almost any legitimate promoter, club, venue, organization can book a performer.
What's the process?
A. You select an artist that you would like to have perform at your event. In some cases, you may give us an offer/amount for the artist to consider. B. We check their availability for that date and give them your offer. C. If the offer is accepted, then we write a contract between you and the artist, sending you each a copy. You will also receive a copy of the artists personal rider. D. A 50% deposit is required and when received with the signed contract, you may begin your advertising. E. Travel arrangements are made, either by us or the promoter, as well as accomodations & ground transportation. F. We confirm that all travel & sound arrangements are taken care of, the artists arrives, and the promoter takes it from there!
How far in advance do I need to book?
That completely depends on the artists schedule. Sometimes, an artist can be booked at the last minute, but we try to avoid that. Ultimately, final decisions should be made no later than two months before the date needed. This gives the promoter enough time to make all of the arrangements and guarantee good schedules and fares.
Do you recommend any particular artists?
You can always check out our home page for the artists who currently are touring. We do our best to match the artist to the need of the promoter. Since we represent more than 70 different artists from disco queens to dance divas, we can usually find the artist that is right for your event. And if they aren't already on our roster, then we'll track them down for you!
The contract says that the balance due to the artist must be in cash. Why?
That's always the way it must be done. In the words of one artist, "checks bounce, cash doesn't!" However, it is completely okay for you to write a check to the artist and have them immediately endorse it back to you or your organization so that you have it for your bookkeeping records.
