DJ John Rizzo dj/remixer/producer / Blue Room Music Group

A Bronx, New York, native, John Rizzo has been following his passion for music and honing his talents for more than seventeen years. He has mastered the art of DJing and proven his remixing abilities to some of the dance music industry's most critical ears. With nearly two decades of experience behind the turntables playing in some of the tri-state areas premier nightspots, John has developed a faithful following, established residences in six States and hosted two concurrent radio shows in 2003. An additional foray into radio produced a late night dance music show entitled "The Twelve Inch" on the now defunct 92.7 WLIR (Long Island, NY.)

As a DJ, no one can question John's versatility; whether he's creating a night woven with dark and mysterious beats, or charging up the dance floor with electrifying vocals backed with hard grooves, John intuitively works a room with his creative mixing and programming style, playing music for the masses, as well as the most discriminating audiences.

John also co-founded, together with his partner Gerald Goode, the production/remixing team of Blue Room Music, creating tracks for some of today's hottest dance artists. His sets come armed with an arsenal of custom remixes and Blue Room original productions, which have been supported by DJs like Billy Carroll, Junior Vasquez, Chad Jack , David Knapp, Peter Rauhofer, Mike Cruz, Manny Lehman and many others. Blue Room has been commissioned to remix and produce tracks for Suzanne Palmer, Supanova, Jason Walker and Ru Paul, to name a few. Their most recent release with D1 Music, "The Joint is Jumping" by Lisa Hunt, climbed into the Billboard Top 20 Dance chart, driven by an unapologetically catchy vocal coupled with a driving beat that dance floors have been longing for. Blue Room has 4 singles scheduled for release in early 2005 alone.

Concurrently scheduled for 2005 is the launch of www.BlueRoomMusic.us, an online music store and record label, through which Blue Room will release original tracks, as well as develop new artists. John's ties to his own label, as well as other labels in the industry, such as Star 69 and D1 Music, allows him the advantage of including exclusive promotions, CD giveaways and special appearances by track artists during his DJing sets.

In spite of it all, however, it is only one thing that audiences truly sense when they hear John Rizzo spin. It's the one thing that keeps his crowds coming back to him for more. It's the force that keeps John constantly moving forward in a world immersed in stillness. That thing is called the power of music.

John currently holds residencies at SBNY (NYC), Feathers (NJ), Rise (Boston), Pure (Philadelphia), Escandalo (NYC), Cobalt (D.C.), Triangles (CT) and Mor (CT).
